INDIAN STATE ELECTRICITY BOARD AND THEIR FUNCTIONS

General - Energy is the property of the Central Board and the Federal Government. The KSEB is a licensee from the Central Board and allowed supplying Electricity all over the State. But the obligation on license given from the State Board to private agency may also be a licensee and their control for a particular State area only. The Electricity Act introduced by the Central Government for the enjoyment of the State Government for financial support and also provide employment to the public. In addition to some statutory powers with the board for entering agreement with consumers to Supply Energy shall be on commercial principles(Electricity Regulatory Commission Act 1998 section 29(2) (f) and Electricity Act 2003).
