KSEB IS DANGEROUS TO PUBLIC CONSUMERS

In recent days an Anti power theft squad raided in the premises of a consumer no 1457 from the distribution   section of Mulakuzha  to trace out abstraction of electricity. But they could not detect the same from the consumer. They raised an allegation on the consumer using an electricity through an extension. They prepared an illegal bill for Rs 130/- per one unit and served for Rs 1,31,760 for 12 months. They counted the consumption of unit, according to the equipment kept in the stores/ existing with the installation as connected load and not according to the unit shown in the proper working meter for the equipment used by the consumer. If a consumer take an extension from the installation socket the APTS recommending to Asst.Engineer for billing per unit Rs130 per unit, in case if; there is theft of electricity of a non consumer the APTS recommending for Rs 7.35 per unit. What a funny ruling given by the Tariff Regulatory Commission of Kerala for issuing penal bills. The name is called looting public wealth.
